Continued Growth@Frederique Constant

0
Frederique Constant
In today’s difficult economic climate, FREDERIQUE CONSTANT is proud to announce Year-to-Date growth of 9% for the January-May period compared to 2014. The continued growth of the company is a reconfirmation of its Accessible Luxury positioning.
At Frederique Constant, our focus is creating luxury timepieces with an intrinsic value usually greater than the offer price of the products being sold. Intrinsic value involves the quality of product both in terms of design, materials used in manufacture and adherence to Swiss watchmaking standards as well as traditions. Our timepieces are exclusively manufactured by hand while the processes involved are regulated with the latest precision equipment available in the industry backed by years of research & development.
It is important to note that luxury products are not just about their prices alone, but also mostly about the quality of the item being purchased. Quality refers to the constituent materials used in making the product, the finesse and extent of the craftsmanship involved and the reputation of the brand behind the product.
Hzrn15B-Continued-Growth-Frederique-Constant-jewelleryistanbul
Accessible Luxury
Frederique Constant offers beautiful watches at an accessible luxury price for younger people and watch enthusiasts who don’t necessarily have thousands of dollars to spend, as well as the more value-conscious customer in all kinds of categories today. The company held this positioning for 25 years and Frederique Constant watches have never deviated from it, so people know what the brand stands for.
History
25 years ago Frederique Constant saw an opportunity to manufacture beautiful classic watches based on quartz technology. At the time, there were expensive Swiss mechanical watches with beautiful designs that co-founders Aletta and Peter Stas could not afford. In Asia, they saw Seiko and Citizen watches that functioned perfectly, were not expensive, but generally did not have very appealing designs for them. Aletta and Peter Stas asked themselves: what if we make classical designed Swiss watches based on the new technology and prices? That was the start of the Frederique Constant fine watch company.

Horological Smartwatch
During past months, we have seen major publicity about Frederique Constant’s latest innovation: the Horological Smartwatch. First watches will be shipped in June and we are very excited to see the Frederique Constant Horological Smartwatches in stores. Reception and enthusiasm has been great since our introduction end February. In Basel, Frederique Constant and Alpina were the only to actually show working smartwatches, other brands only announced concepts and partnerships. We have always been able to flourish, which has helped us acquire the funds for innovation and, therefore, helped us create new innovations like the Horological Smartwatch.
About Frederique Constant

Alpina Watches Reveals the Seastrong Diver 300 Chronograph Big Date

0
With the SEASTRONG collection, Alpina Watches has made diving watch history since the 1960’s when the Seastrong “10” was already capable of reaching depths of 200m/660ft. In 2015 Alpina reveals the Seastrong Diver 300 Chronograph Big Date. An extremely well readable professional diving chronograph range that is 300m/1000ft water-resistant, immediately recognizable due to its distinctive coloured unidirectional turning diving bezels and its oversized minute hand for optimal diving time readability.
Serious about diving
The all-new Alpina Seastrong 300 Diver Chronograph Big Date is a professional diving watch. Everything about this model is designed to cope with the most extreme conditions any professional diver could ever encounter, starting with water resistance to no less than 300 meters. That’s 1,000 feet below sea level, which means the watch can go to depths no human ever could.
Designed see what you need to see, when you need to see it
The Extreme Diver 300 has been designed with all necessary features that allow owners to get the information they need, when they need it, for a safe dive.
The aluminum, unidirectional, turning bezel, turns in just one direction: anti-clockwise. With this “fail-safe” feature the number of elapsed minutes can never be accidentally decreased, only increased. In addition, the 60 minutes markers on the bezel are luminous, as are the dial indexes, which perfectly contrast against the matt black dial. The watch’s hands are luminous for maximum readability in low visibility conditions, and the minute’s hand is oversized to safely read diving time.
Built-in features that are relevant to the professional diver
The 44 mm stainless cushion shaped steel case, the screw-in crown and case-back, the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, the robust, water-resistant, genuine leather strap and the beautiful engraving of the Alpina diving symbol the case-back are all distinctive functional and aesthetic features matching the requirements of divers and those of everyday wear of the watch. The range comes in 4 different models, each with a different bezel colour:  bordeaux, grey, navy blue and orange.
The AL-372 Swiss High Precision Quartz Chronograph movement
The extremely precise and reliable AL-372 1/10th of sec. Swiss quartz chronograph movement features 30 and 10 hour chronograph counters, add and split functions, big date and has a standard battery life of 48 months.

Hzrn15B-Hublot-Fluorescent-Fusion-at-Harrods-jewelleryistanbul
The radical neon lit window displays highlight how the brand never stops bringing tradition into the future through four iconic themes: the celebration of the 10th Anniversary of Big Bang, World class collaborations such as Ferrari and Football Teams, Ladies revolutionary pieces and Watchmaking expertise showcasing the Art of Fusion.

The Innovative and playful interactive displays of the “Big Bang Grand Tour” will immerse visitors in a virtual journey around Hublot’s watchmaking universe, examining the brand’s DNA and revealing the stories behind Hublot unique design, innovation and craftsmanship. After discovering the extraordinary diversity of the materials developed and created by the watch brand thanks to a leap motion screen from the latest technology, visitors will literally explore the UNICO movement developed and manufactured in-house. They will then understand the passion shared by all Hublot Brand Ambassadors, including Bar Refaeli, Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, Michael Clarke, José Mourinho, Pelé, Usain Bolt, Justin Rose and Lang Lang.
And eventually, they will have the opportunity to learn the key stages in the design of a Big Bang watch through a “Manufacture” exhibition of pictures, shot by Fred Merz.
Three models being previewed in the United Kingdom will be on display: Two pieces from the “anniversary” collection, Big Bang Tourbillon 5-day Power reserve Indicator Full Magic Gold, Big Bang “10 Years” Haute Joaillerie Full Baguettes Black Diamonds and one from the emblematic Classic Fusion  Collection, the All Black version 8 Days Power Reserve.
These watches epitomise Hublot’s astonishing virtuosity and sublime craftsmanship combining timeless elegance with contemporary materials and aesthetics.

New Overseas Ultramarine Blue Limited Editions Summery Elegance Ticking to Travel Time
As summer approaches, Vacheron Constantin presents two exclusive new Overseas watches clad in a deep shade of blue, a simple date and a Dual Time. These two new classic timepieces radiate sporting elegance at its finest – appealing to the refined traveller, eager for boundless horizons.

The Overseas collection by Vacheron Constantin represents an authentic invitation to set sail on a fascinating journey, and the two new references feature a deep blue dial bearing luminescent hands and hour-markers serving to ensure optimal readability in all circumstances. Available in an elegant 42 mm-diameter steel case with a screw-lock crown, the Overseas (simple date) and Overseas Dual Time watches combine technical excellence with a refined, dynamic design.
Both bear the identity codes of Vacheron Constantin’s sporty and technical line launched in 1996: powerful, flowing lines, a bezel inspired by the brand-emblem Maltese Cross and a caseback engraved with the famous Amerigo Vespucci three-mast ship. The ultimate elegant sports watch, the Overseas (simple date) is equipped with Caliber 1226 SC, a mechanical self-winding movement powering hours, minutes and central seconds hands, as well an aperture-type date display.

Meanwhile, the Overseas Dual Time is equipped with self-winding Caliber 1222 SC which, along with the hours, minutes, central seconds and aperture-type date, also drives a dual-time display with day/night indication as well as a power-reserve indication.
Beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations/hour these timepieces enjoy around 40 hours of power reserve. Their mechanical movements are protected from magnetic fields by a soft iron case integrated within the case itself, and are water-resistant to 15 bar (approximately 150 metres).
Exclusive by their very nature, the Overseas (simple date) and Overseas Dual Time models are issued in respective limited editions of 350 and 300 and delivered with two dark blue straps matching the dial: one in vulcanised rubber and the other in Mississipiensis alligator leather. A triple-blade, double-pusher folding clasp guarantees both security and comfort for the wearer of these exceptional watches.
The limited edition Overseas timepiece in ultramarine blue is a must-havefor refined aesthetes who regularly traverse continents while juggling multiple time zones.

From the reactions of exhibitors

Dear Mrs. Lukešová,
I have finally found some time to write to you. First of all, in my view, you were able to organize a successful exhibition. Despite the fact that I had some doubts even on Thursday before the start of the event, I have to admit, that if one invests so much energy and enthusiasm as you, then the event just must be successful. Thanks for the great organization. I only have some ideas …
Ing. Jana Leišová, ALTRO spol. s r.o.
Hello, I was completely satisfied with everything and I will be pleased to take part in the next year again.
Best regards.
Radek Hanus e-gems.eu
Thank you! I have placed a link on FB event and I am looking forward to the next year event :).
Zdraví Šárka Rooya
… if there is interest, we can again prepare a presentation of antique watches in the next year – some of the visitors attended only because of this presentation (at least they said so :-))
Margita Ježková, Herisson
… in today´s conditions, it was a successful event despite complications ….
Milan Purkart – Mineral
I send my greetings to the Incheba team and Mrs. Lukešová personally.
We express our thanks for organizing another year of this specialized fair with focus on watches and jewels. For us, we have again had a positive outcome as we have gained several new customers. Besides, many of our current clients came to visit our stand and were able to present well our assortment and services … The sales result as far as orders are concerned, was slightly better than in 2013 and direct sales to end users from the street were slightly worse than in the previous year.
Generally speaking, we think, that there were more visitors coming to the exhibition (also more expert customers and end users). In my opinion, there were more exhibitors with watches in the Middle hall, on the contrary there were less exhibitors with focus on goldsmithery in the Left wing… We also would like to praise the promotion of this year´s event – one could see and hear about the exhibition in various media …
Tomáš Seman, Olympia, spol. s r.o.
Hello,
In comparison with the last year´s event, in my view, this year´s exhibition was attended by a higher amount of visitors, which is, in my opinion, a positive thing (if this is not just my impression but a real fact). I would very much welcome information about visitors ‘numbers as soon as these are available. Thank you very much and I am looking forward to the next exhibition. Best regards.
Ing. Jaroslav Špičák, SAFINA, a.s.
Dear Mrs. Lukešová. I would like to thank you for your thanks and promise that if I am alive and healthy and if you are part of the organization team of this event in the next year, I will be pleased to participate again. Best regards to you personally as well as to the whole team.
Petr Schediwy, Hubert Schediwy&syn
Dear Mrs. Lukešová, I would also like to express my thanks for the cooperation on the event. In my view, everything went well to the satisfaction of both sides …
Ing. Petr Fischer, MBA, Silverum
… Once again, I would like to thank you for the exhibition as such and actually for everything. It was great and we liked it very much. I wish you a nice day and am looking forward to our next cooperation.
Ing. Jan Dědina, The Goldsmith’s Centre for Practical Education SOLUNKA, spol. s r.o.
Dear Mrs. Lukešová,
We also would like to express our thanks. After a long time without participation we were surprised by the attendance to the event. We are looking forward to seeing you next year.
Michaela Košková, SWAH s.r.o.
Dear Mrs. Lukešová,
I would like to thank you for your nice letter and would also like to express my thanks for your helpful cooperation.
Best regards.
PhDr. Janka Sirotová, WATCH STAR MEDIA, s.r.o.
Dear Mrs. Lukešová,
I would like to thank you for the great organization as well as for the smooth run of the exhibition. I wish you every success. Best regards.
Bc. Auředník Michal, MOISSANITE-DIAMANT s. r. o.
… My colleagues were satisfied; they appreciated both the attendance as well as the interest of the visitors. I also think that we had a well-done display this year, so that I evaluate our participation in the event as successful.
I was pleased that everything went well and that the attendance was really good. My only regret is that I was not able to stay the whole event.
Until now, I actually was not able to thank you for your cooperation and also for your help with the insurance – all of your colleagues were very helpful and nice, so that I would like to thank you once again  …
Ivana Broklová, NEST, spol. s r.o.
What was written about the exhibition
It is always heart-warming that the exhibition as such takes place.
Despite the fact, that there is always potential for improvement, it is gladdening, that the only Czech sector exhibition has taken place again. Quite a big number of expert visitors found their way to the Exhibition Grounds so that the exhibitors certainly did not have a reason to complain about the invested effort …
Klenotník Hodinář (Jeweller Watchmaker), Jiří Zimmer, Editor in Chief
… The display of these legends was well prepared with the aim to provide visitors with as complete information about individual models and their “stories” as possible. This was achieved not only through a show of individual models “in natura”, but also through information panels. …
… The event itself was again a good occasion for the Czech expert as well as non-expert audience to learn about present products of significant watchmaking companies. At the same time, is has brought good news. The watchmaking companies are interested in the Czech market and that to such extent, that they even offer a part of the models from limited series in the Czech Republic. …
Klenotník Hodinář (Jeweller Watchmaker), Kamila Lexová and Michal Achremenko
… Also this year´s exhibition Watches and Jewels offered many interesting things to see. What was obvious was the effort of the organizer to bring a maximum benefit for the visitors. We value very high the display “legendary watches” with a carefully chosen collection of watch models and its educational benefit for the visitors.
watchmag.cz I 24time.cz, David Hriech
According to available information, the exhibition Watches and Jewels could be even more attractive this year. We have extracted all information related to clocks and watches from all press releases issued by Incheba Praha, so that everybody who will be visiting Prague between Thursday and Saturday has all important information handy – be it about the exhibitors, the programme or – and that first of all – about the watches.
Hodinarskymagazin.sk, Michal Pindura |
Very briefly, but on a very interesting topic :).
I will report about the business done in the past week in the following few days. It is my third day at the exhibition Watches and Jewels in Prague – Holešovice and besides presenting we discuss with visitors interested in precious metals and auction business. It is busy here and it is great. …
… There were many people coming, we were almost surprised by the number …
www.martinkopacek.cz, Martin Kopáček
I was very pleased to see, that many visitors had already known the Traser brand, or even were happy owners of products of this brand. I was also delighted with the attendance of many watch fans. We had also several visitors who are members of the Chronomag forum and I thank them herewith for the nice chat.
www.helveti.cz, Ing. Jiří Štencek
… I was surprised by the presentations of small companies which appeared at the exhibition and offered their products. It is necessary to stress this new trend, when there are small and middle-sized companies presenting next to big renowned companies and showing, that they are able to astonish with creativity, new materials and techniques …
… There was for example an extensive display of the Prague-based company URBAN. It is possible to say that this in fact one company is composed of several enterprises and thus able to produce custom made jewellery from A to Z in their individual production sections. The customers can cast their wax models, they can have a gemstone manufactured, resurfaced, engraved and polished. Such products can then be gold-, silver- or rhodium-plated. I consider this to be a good idea as this is a beneficial service for goldsmiths, who can, on this way, manufacture jewellery without big investments into necessary technologies. It is very good, that the exhibition also presented such novelties. …
… We believe, that this event was one which deserved attention and, at the same time, brought inspiration for the customers for the next year. We also believe that new contacts (with representatives of both Czech and foreign companies) established at the exhibition will help Czech jewellers with their business.

Final word
We are convinced that WATCHES AND JEWELS – this only professional event with such focus held in the Czech Republic – positively has its place on the Czech market. In cooperation with our partners we are ready to make our best for its successful development in future.
